This year's Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s (CKHAF) golf tournament raised a record $151,457 to support Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA).
The 2025 tournament broke the fundraising record set in 2023 by about $20,000.
Organizers said the 20th annual golf tournament held on June 6, 2025 at Maple City Country Club was sold-out with 128 golfers and was made possible by the support of more than 20 dedicated volunteers and over 35 generous event partners.
CKHAF President and CEO Christine Mitchell said the event was a "shining example" of what the community can accomplish together.
“This year’s tournament was truly one for the record books,” said Mitchell. “To raise more than $150,000 through a single-day event is a testament to the strength of our community and the passion that so many individuals and organizations share for supporting local healthcare."
This year’s winning foursome was Owen Dorssers, Jason Dorssers, Finn O'Brien, and Patrick O'Brien who shot 17-under par.
Proceeds from the tournament will help fund life-changing medical equipment and essential facility upgrades at both the Chatham and Wallaceburg hospitals.
“Our hospital’s needs are always evolving, and fundraising events like this allow us to meet those needs quickly and effectively,” added Mitchell. “Thanks to the unwavering support of our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers, we’re not only meeting our fundraising goals, we’re exceeding them."
CKHAF noted next year's tournament will be held June 5, 2026.
