Tilbury woman charged after vehicle left roadway

A 30-year-old woman was arrested on Friday after the vehicle she was driving left the road and drove onto private property.

CK police said the incident happened just after 7:30 p.m. at a Queen Street North address.

Believing the woman to be intoxicated, investigators administered two breath tests and said the results for both were well above the legal limit.

The woman faces two impaired driving charges. Her court date has been scheduled for July 7.

A while later, officers found the man behind a different local business where he was allegedly spray painting a wall.

The 29-year-old was arrested and taken to police headquarters. He was later released with a July 14 court date.

Man with extensive record arrested for breaching court orders

A 52-year-old man can add another charge to a long list of offenses.

Chatham-Kent police said they learned of the man breaking his house arrest rules from a community support agency.

Shortly after 9 a.m. on Saturday, the agency called police about a Dresden man who they said left his residence without permission.

The man was under a conditional sentence that required GPS monitoring and a requirement to stay at home except for specific approved time and purposes. The conditions stem from an extensive record, including charges of theft, break and enter, trespassing, and drug possession.

The 52-year-old admitted to being out during non-permitted hours without approval, officers said.

Police added that the man was known for violating his court ordered conditions, so after his arrest he was taken to the South West Detention Centre and held pending bail.
