Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after long weekend crash west of Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are putting out a call for tips as they investigate a motorcycle crash on Tecumseh Line that sent one person to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they were called to the scene of the single-vehicle crash between Pump Road and Dauphin Road shortly before 12 p.m. on Sunday.

Officers said a 66-year-old man from Harrow was the only person on the motorcycle when it crashed, adding that he was airlifted to hospital for urgent medical care with life-threatening injuries.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service Traffic Management Unit was called to the scene because of the severity of the man's injuries and the investigation is ongoing.
