There are still some lingering power outages across Chatham-Kent after stormy weather overnight.
As of 6:45 a.m. Friday, Hydro One was still reporting a large outage in a large area southwest of Chatham affecting about 2,000 of its customers.
Power was restored to customers in that area around 2:30 p.m.
There was also an outage affecting a few hundred customers in the Lighthouse Cove area as a result of some downed powerlines.
Those downed lines prompted OPP to close Lighthouse Road/County Road 39 in both directions between Tecumseh Rd/County Rd 2 and Lakeshore Rd 301.
Crew from Hydro One are at work in the area. The utility has estimated that the power will be back on by 11 p.m.
