Argument results in injuries and charges
A 21-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after an argument with his former partner reportedly prompted him to punch through a glass door.
CK police said they were called to a pharmacy on Queen Street in Chatham at about 2:45 p.m. on Thursday.
When they arrived, officers said they found the suspect, who had lacerations on his hand.
He was arrested for mischief after witness statements and video footage showed him punching the glass door, causing it to break.
Investigators determined that the incident happened following a verbal altercation with a Chatham woman, who he was not allowed to approach or communicate with. Those conditions were set by the court, following a previous intimate partner violence charge.
The man has also been charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.
He is being held in police custody pending bail.

A total of 135 vehicles were checked on Murray Street in Wallaceburg. Officers issued six warnings and one driver was arrested for impaired driving after a roadside test was taken.
On Fifth Street in Chatham, 18 vehicles were checked. One driver was arrested after refusing to be tested when police pulled them over.
