JAMP Pharma Corporation is recalling some of its pregabalin bottles.
The organization explained that some of the bottles may include 150 mg pills instead of 50 mg.
Anyone with this medication should check that each capsule has the number 50 printed on it with black ink.
If it contains the number 150 or if you're unsure, you should return the bottle to your pharmacist, who'll provide a replacement.
JAMP-Pregabalin is a prescription drug used by adults to treat pain caused by nerve damage due to diabetes, shingles, or a spinal cord injury. It's also used to treat pain associated with fibromyalgia.
Using a much larger dose than prescribed can potentially lead to an overdose. Signs of an overdose from pregabalin include sudden mood changes, sleepiness, confusion, depression, agitation, restlessness, and seizures.
People shouldn't abruptly stop taking pregabalin as it can cause withdrawal symptoms such as insomnia, nausea, headache, anxiety, excessive sweating, diarrhea, and convulsions.
