CK receives over $419K in fourth quarter OLG payment

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has paid the Municipality of Chatham-Kent $419,246 for hosting Cascades Casino Chatham.

The fourth-quarter payment covers January 1, 2025 to March 31, 2025.

"The Municipality Contribution Agreement with OLG provides significant benefits to Chatham-Kent, supporting vital local services and initiatives that enhance the well-being of our residents," said Trevor Jones, MPP for Chatham-Kent-Leamington. "Cascades Casino Chatham plays an important role in strengthening our community, not only through job creation but also by contributing gaming revenue that directly supports local priorities and programs."

Over the entire fiscal year, CK has received $1,743,458. Since the casino opened in April 2001, the municipality has received $19,542,923.

All communities that host casinos in Ontario get payments from OLG as a commitment to put gaming revenues back into the province. According to the crown agency, host communities have received almost $2.5 billion in non-tax gaming revenue since 1994.
