A Chatham man is facing a handful of charges after provincial police followed up on a call about a motorcycle that was driving "erratically" on Highway 401.
Elgin County OPP said they received the tip shortly before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and found the motorcycle disabled on the shoulder of the westbound lanes of the highway in Chatham-Kent.
Officers said their investigation showed the vehicle had been reported stolen from Stratford.
Police arrested a 21-year-old Chatham man in the case and he was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of an identity document, and driving a motor vehicle without a licence.
The accused was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a future date to answer to the charges.
