CK residents who want to get a jump on voting in the provincial election will soon have a place to go.
Advanced voting will be available from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 20 to Saturday, February 22. Voters are reminded to bring valid ID and their voting card.
There are eight advanced voting locations for voters in the Chatham-Kent-Leamington district.
They include polling stations in Chatham, Ridgetown, Blenheim, Tilbury, Wheatley, and Leamington.
There are also eight advanced voting locations for residents of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.
Wallaceburg voters can head to First Baptist Church (99 Thomas Avenue).
People who want to vote early in Dresden can do so at the Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre (1212 North Street).
Chatham-Kent-Leamington has six candidates on the ballot. Lambton-Kent-Middlesex has five candidates.
Both districts have candidates who are now or were very recently on Chatham-Kent Council.
To vote by mail, you must apply by 6 p.m. on February 21. Elections Ontario must receive your completed voting kit by 6 p.m. on February 27 for your vote to count.
To be eligible to vote you must be 18 years old or older, a Canadian citizen, and a resident of Ontario.
