Most of southwestern Ontario may see a mixed bag of weather this weekend.
Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for Chatham-Kent, Western Elgin County, Huron County, Perth County, Wellington County, and Windsor-Essex, through Saturday night.
The weather agency said snow is expected to move into southwestern Ontario Saturday afternoon, bringing snowfall accumulations of up to five centimetres by late Saturday evening toward Lake Erie, and up to ten centimetres closer to Lake Huron.
The snow may become mixed with freezing drizzle or freezing rain on Saturday evening in the southern part of the region, changing to freezing drizzle by midnight. The freezing drizzle is expected to end by early Sunday morning.
"Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly," read the advisory from Environment Canada. "Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance."
