Duo charged following Chatham drug bust

A Chatham man and woman have been charged following a drug bust in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent police reported illegal drugs with a street value of $23,900 were seized at a Florence Street home on Wednesday during a search.

Police noted officers recovered 223 grams of cocaine, approximately 100 Oxycodone pills, 4.4 grams of fentanyl, cell phones, digital scales, packaging, and a large sum of Canadian cash.

The pair, 65 and 32 years of age, is now facing drug charges, including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The suspects were released from custody with a court date of March 6, 2025, according to CK police.

Chatham-Kent police said it remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of the public and encourages residents to report any suspicious activity to help maintain public safety and keep illicit drugs off the street.
