Chatham man faces assault charges

Chatham-Kent police officers have charged a 54-year-old man with assault after an incident at a local business.

Police said they were called to a Third Street business in Chatham just before 10:30 a.m. on Thursday when a man refused to leave.

According to police, the man assaulted another person during the incident though no injuries were reported.

The man was arrested and held pending bail.

CK police make multiple warrant arrests

CK police has crossed a number of names off their wanted list.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, officers stopped a man on Wellington Street East in Chatham. During that stop, it was determined that the 32-year-old was wanted on a DNA warrant.

The man was arrested and taken to police headquarters. He was later released with conditions.

A suspicious person complaint led CK police to a wanted woman.

According to police, officers were called to a Blake Street address in Wallaceburg at around 9:35 a.m. on Thursday.

When police arrived they found a 38-year-old Chatham woman who was wanted for failing to show up for court and breaching her probation.

Police took the woman to headquarters for further processing before she was released with conditions.

A wanted Halifax resident has been arrested in Chatham.

Police said the 67-year-old man was found just before 10 a.m. on Thursday at a Grand Avenue West address.

The man was taken into police custody by way of warrant. He was released with conditions and a February 14 court date.

A woman wanted for missing her court date was arrested Thursday morning.

Officers said they found the 36-year-old woman on Raleigh Street just after 10:30 a.m.

She was later released from police custody with conditions.

A 55-year-old Chatham man is going to have to learn to follow the rules.

According to police, the man was wanted for two counts of failing to comply with a release order and for failing to comply with his probation.

Police arrested him just before 7 p.m. on Thursday at a Bloomfield Road address. He was held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
