Another magic mushroom store busted in Chatham

A new magic mushroom store in Chatham has been raided by police.

Chatham-Kent police reported the new store on St. Clair Street in Chatham was busted on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said a search warrant was executed at the unidentified store and officers seized approximately $23,000 worth of merchandise.

Police didn't say if any arrests were made.

The address for Micro Zoomiez magic mushroom dispensary in Chatham is listed as 178 St. Clair Street. It was previously listed as 154 King Street West in downtown Chatham.

The location for Fun Guyz magic mushroom dispensary was previously listed at 178 St. Clair Street Chatham. However, it is temporarily closed, according to the company's website.

Fun Guyz originally popped up in downtown Chatham at 101 King Street West in May 2024, but moved out of that location in July after three police raids. The fourth raid came in September at its new location on St. Clair Street.

Police warn that property involved in criminal enterprises can be seized and subject to potential forfeiture.

"The Chatham-Kent Police Service urges property owners to be aware of legal implications if their property is being used for illegal activities," said police in a news release late Friday afternoon. "If you suspect illegal activities, report it to the police."

Police also noted that the possession, sale, and production of magic mushrooms and psilocybin is illegal in Canada.
