CK police seeking tips after assault victim hospitalized

The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) is asking the public for help with an assault investigation.

Just before 4 p.m. on January 6, officers were called to the area of King Street East and Princess Street in Chatham. According to police, they responded to help paramedics at the scene.

"An adult male victim possessed significant injuries as a result of being assaulted," police said in a media release.

The man was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. As of January 13, he is still in hospital receiving care.

Anyone with any information about this incident, or who may have dashcam or surveillance footage of the area at that time is asked to check their cameras and is urged to contact Constable Rob Bowles at 519-436-6600 (x80655) or [email protected] or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
