CK police looking for crash information

A multi-vehicle crash in Chatham is under investigation by Chatham-Kent police.

Police report three vehicles were involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Grand Avenue East/Longwoods Road and Communication Road in Chatham.

Investigators allege a vehicle traveling east on Grand Avenue East veered into the left turning lane as it approached the intersection and collided with a vehicle waiting to turn left. The vehicle continued through the intersection to the westbound traffic lane and struck a second vehicle waiting at the red light, allege police.

Police noted one driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance for medical treatment.

The vehicle was towed and secured for further investigation, CK police said.
