OPP investigate home invasion involving men in gas masks

The Ontario Provincial Police are looking into a home invasion in Leamington earlier this month where two suspects wore gas masks and carried a toxic substance.

Police were called to a home on Lakeshore Drive just before midnight on November 17.

The two men confronted the lone occupant inside the home and fled in a vehicle afterwards.

The first suspect is a black man, described as tall and stocky. His head was shaved, and he wore a grey hoodie. The second was also tall and stocky and wore all-black clothing.

Police believe the homeowner was targeted, and there is no threat to public safety.

Anyone with information about the suspects or the incident can call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
