Organic carrots recalled for possible E. Coli contamination

Several brands of organic carrots are being recalled.

According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, 14 products sold across the country may be contaminated with E. Coli.

The impacted brands are PC Organics, Compliments Organic, Cal-Organic, and Bunny-Luv.

Some of the carrots were bought as early as August 14 and as recent as November 2. A complete list of product sizes and timelines on when they were sold can be found online.

Food contaminated with E. Coli may not look, or smell spoiled.

Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps and watery to bloody diarrhea. Severe cases can include seizures, strokes, and even death.

Anyone who may have eaten the possibly contaminated carrots should contact their local health care provider.

People who still have the carrots can either throw them away or return them to the location they bought them from.
