Tilbury couple wins big with the Big Spin

A Tilbury couple has 225,000 reasons to celebrate after playing the lottery for decades.

Donna and Michael Jones, a pair of retirees, won big after revealing 'spin' on a Big Spin instant ticket.

"I was sitting in the car thinking, 'It would be nice if it was more than $20,'" Donna said of buying the winning ticket at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Mill Street West in Tilbury. "That's when Michael came out of the store and said, 'Get in here! I think we won big!'"

The couple was surrounded by friends and family when they actually spun the wheel.

"It was amazing watching the wheel spin. It's still unbelievable," Donna said.

Michael believed it was even more special to win with their loved ones at their side.

"We didn't have to ask them to come. They all wanted to be here for us," he shared. "Winning $225,000 feels like winning $1 million. Life is good!"

The duo don't have any concrete plans for their winnings.
