2024 Holiday Train making stops in CK, Windsor

Thanksgiving and Halloween are just around the corner, but Christmas isn't too far behind.

Hoping to spread a little bit of holiday cheer, the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train has announced its schedule. There will be stops in Chatham and Windsor late next month.

The Holiday Train supports food banks and food shelves by raising money, food, and awareness of food insecurity at all of its stops.

The train will roll through Chatham on Monday, November 25, stopping near the Holiday Inn on Richmond Street from 2:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. Later that same day, the train will be in Windsor. Residents can enjoy the festivities from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Erie Street West and Janette Avenue.

If the bright lights aren't enough to hold your attention, the free concert should be. Performers at both stops include the American Authors and KT Tunstall.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a monetary or food donation.

Since 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised more than $24.3 million and collected approximately 5.3 million pounds of food for community food banks in Canada and the U.S.
