Man arrested for breaking into his mom's home
A 34-year-old man spent the night in Chatham-Kent police custody after he allegedly broke into his mother's residence on Sunday.
Officers said they received that complaint shortly after 4:30 p.m. Sunday at a residence in Highgate.
The man accused of breaking in was arrested and taken into police custody pending a bail hearing.

Disturbance call leads to man's arrest
A 37-year-old man who already had some run-ins with the law is in more trouble after he was allegedly caught breaching one of his release conditions.
CK police said they found the man shortly before 6:30 p.m. Sunday while they were following up on a disturbance call in Wallaceburg.
Officers said the man was bound by a conditional sentence order that required him not to consume alcohol, but he was allegedly intoxicated when they found him.
The man was arrested for breaching the order and was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Cyclist carrying break-in tools seen coming out of a field
A 24-year-old man is facing a handful of charges after he was allegedly spotted riding a bicycle out of a field in Dover Township early Monday morning.
Chatham-Kent police said an officer on patrol saw the man coming out of the field at around 1 a.m. and confronted him.
At that point, the man allegedly gave the officer a fake name.
The officer eventually learned the man's true identity and was also able to confirm that the man was out past his curfew.
The man then allegedly resisted arrest by trying to pull away from the arresting officers, but he was successfully taken into custody.
Police said they also found some crowbars, wrenches, and other tools in his possession that are commonly used for break-and-enters.
The man was charged with breaching his release condition, obstructing police, resisting arrest, and possession of break-and-enter tools along with Highway Traffic Act offenses.
He was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
