Man arrested during family disturbance

A 44-year-old Chatham man is facing multiple assault charges.

Chatham-Kent Police were called to a home on Patteson Avenue due to a family disturbance.

A man was eventually asked to leave but became upset and allegedly assaulted someone in the home and multiple police officers.

He was then charged with assault, three counts of assaulting a police officer, and resisting arrest.

Man and woman charged with assault

CK Police arrested a man and woman who allegedly assaulted each other.

Officers were called to a property on Merritt Line early Sunday morning.

There police arrested a 57-year-old man and 50-year-old woman and charged them both with assault.

Each has been released and will appear in court on November 4, 2024.

Man arrested for impaired off-road driving

A 22-year-old man is being charged after allegedly off-road driving while impaired.

At around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to a field around Gregory Drive and Orangewood Boulevard.

CK Police arrested the man and brought him back to their headquarters. While there, he reportedly registered a blood alcohol level two and half times the legal limit.

He was subsequently charged with driving while impaired and mischief. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 21, 2024.
