R.O.C.K. launches 50/50 raffle

Reach Out Chatham-Kent (R.O.C.K.) has launched a 50/50 raffle to support its outreach programs, operating costs, and drop-in centres.

R.O.C.K. believes the fundraiser will allow community members to "win big while supporting a meaningful cause."

Tickets can only be purchased online. They are available in increments of 1 for $5, 3 for $10, 20 for $20, or 100 for $50.

Every week R.O.C.K. serves 300 people in Chatham and 120 people in Wallaceburg who are experiencing homelessness, insecure housing, and substance abuse.

The Peer-2-Peer (P2P) program is also run by R.O.C.K., out of the Chatham drop-in site. It is one of the largest distributors of naloxone in Chatham-Kent, provides easier access to information, facilitates harm reduction information sessions, and has helped over 100 people acquire replacement health cards.

The draw will be held at 8 p.m. on November 1.
