Chatham teen arrested for threatening someone with a knife
A 16-year-old Chatham boy is facing a handful of charges after he allegedly threatened another youth while he was carrying a knife.
Chatham-Kent police said their investigation started shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Friday and led them to arrest the youth shortly after 9 a.m. on Sunday.
He was taken to police headquarters, charged, and later released to his parents' care after a bail hearing.
The youth is charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering threats.

Man and woman both charged after domestic disturbance
A 38-year-old Chatham man and a 31-year-old Chatham woman are both facing charges after an argument Sunday morning took a violent turn.
CK police said they were called to an address on Adelaide Street South in Chatham shortly after 9:30 a.m. Sunday and learned that a man and a woman there had been arguing when the woman allegedly threw a bottle at the man. The man was also accused of grabbing the woman, which caused her what police called a "minor physical injury."
Both the man and the woman were arrested and later released with conditions and a future court date.
The man was charged with assault while the woman was charged with assault with a weapon.

Call about suspicious person leads to arrest
A 49-year-old Chatham man who already had some previous run-ins with police is in more trouble after he was allegedly out past his curfew in Wallaceburg.
CK police said their investigation started when they got a call about a man in dark clothing who was seen walking around a property on Warwick Drive with a flashlight at around 1:30 a.m. Monday.
Officers said the man took off in a vehicle before they arrived, but they were able to get a description of the vehicle and found it on Base Line near Old Glass Road in Wallaceburg.
Police pulled the vehicle over and learned that the man inside was violating his curfew condition.
Officers said when they searched the man, they also found a BB gun and some stolen identification in his possession.
The accused, who was also banned from possessing any weapons, was taken to police headquarters and charged.
He was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police searching for b & e suspect
Chatham-Kent police are on the lookout for the suspect in a commercial break-in.
The reported incident happened at a business on London Road in Thamesville on August 31.
On Monday, police released images from the business' surveillance footage with the hope that members of the public could help identify the suspect,
