Man Arrested for Bail Violations

A 48 year-old Tilbury man was arrested after he was found to be in breach of his bail conditions.

Early Sunday morning at approximately 12:35 a.m. police initiated a traffic stop in Tilbury.

The driver was known to police with one of his bail conditions to have a curfew between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

He was then lodged at Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters for a bail hearing.

Mischief

Police responded to a report of mischief at a residence on Mary Street in Chatham Saturday at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Police said the residence was vacant and under construction.

Missing plywood was observed at the rear door with no other damage.

No one was found on the property.

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
