Two Chatham women face drug trafficking charges
Two women have been arrested in connection to a drug investigation in Chatham.
On August 1, CK police executed a warrant to search a home on Wellington Street West.
Police said an estimated $6,000 worth of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine were seized alongside $680 in cash and drug paraphernalia.
A 31-year-old woman and a 36-year-old woman, both of Chatham, have been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. The 36-year-old also faces one count of failing to comply with a release order.

Single-vehicle crash leads to impaired driving charges
No one was injured in a single-vehicle collision on Wednesday night.
Police said they responded to the crash at about 9:50 p.m. in the area of King Street West in Chatham.
After administering breath tests, investigators determined that a 20-year-old Chatham man was driving under the influence of alcohol.
The man is facing impaired driving charges. He was released from police custody with a court date of August 19.

Police searching for suspects in multiple b-and-e's
Chatham-Kent police are looking for a suspect(s) after they responded to an alarm at a Chatham business.
Police were called to the Richmond Street business at about 2:20 a.m. on Thursday. When they arrived officers learned that someone had broken into the building by damaging one of the doors.
The investigation is ongoing.

Police are investigating a reported break-and-enter to a home in the area of Daniels Place in Chatham.
Officers learned of the incident on Wednesday, but it's believed to have taken place anytime between Monday and Wednesday.
According to police, an estimated $8,500 worth of property was taken from the home.

Traffic enforcement in Chatham
CK police carried out a modified R.I.D.E. program in the area of Grand Avenue West in Chatham.
The initiative took place on Wednesday.
Three inspections were completed, and five Provincial Offences Notices were issued.

Multiple warrant arrests made across CK
Chatham-Kent police crossed a number of names off of their wanted list on Wednesday.
At 6 a.m., a 39-year-old Chatham woman turned herself in to police. The woman was arrested and processed, and after appearing before a judge, she was released with a new surety.

At 10:45 p.m., a 54-year-old Chatham man was arrested by officers on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The man was released from police custody with a court date of August 16.

At 2:15 p.m., a 34-year-old Chatham man wanted on warrants for multiple investigations was found and arrested by officers.
The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

At 2:30 p.m., a 19-year-old Chatham woman turned herself in to police in relation to a mischief investigation.
The woman is scheduled to appear in court on September 23.

At 10:50 p.m., police arrested a 42-year-old Chatham man on several outstanding warrants.
The man is facing charges including failing to comply with a release order, breach of probation, and failure to attend court regarding a robbery charge.

At 11:30 p.m., a 26-year-old Blenheim man wanted in connection to a threats investigation surrendered himself to police at the Blenheim Police Station.
The man was arrested, processed, and released with a future court date.
