Motorcyclist suffers "extensive" injuries after crash in Dover Township
Chatham-Kent police are investigating a serious collision in a rural area southwest of Chatham that sent a motorcycle driver to a Windsor hospital in critical condition.
CK police said emergency were called to the intersection of Pain Court Line and Town Line Road in Dover Township at around 3:45 p.m. Thursday for a report of a motor vehicle collision.
Police said their investigation so far shows a motorcycle was heading west on Pain Court Line when a vehicle that was heading south on Town Line Road was also approaching the intersection where those two roads meet.
Officers said the motorcyclist dropped the bike to avoid a collision, but the motorcycle driver still ended up suffering "extensive physical injury" and was taken to a Windsor Hospital in critical condition.

Chatham woman accused of pointing pellet gun at neighbours during feud
A Chatham woman is facing a pair of charges after she allegedly pointed a pellet gun at some of her neighbours during what police describe as an "ongoing feud."
Chatham-Kent police said they were called in to investigate at around 4:30 p.m. Thursday after the woman allegedly approached her neighbours with a long gun and accused them of theft.
Police said the argument escalated to the point where the woman raised the gun and pointed it at the individuals.
Officers said the woman was arrested without incident and they didn't report any injuries.
Police seized the firearm and determined that it was a pellet gun.
The woman was arrested and taken to police headquarters where she was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and pointing a firearm. She was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Traffic complaint leads police to impaired driver
A 55-year-old Chatham man will have to hitch a ride with someone else for the next little while after he was stopped for impaired driving.
Chatham-Kent police said they pulled the man over just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday after seeing a vehicle that matched the description of a traffic complaint they had received earlier in the evening.
Officers believed the man was under the influence of alcohol, so he was directed to participate in a roadside sobriety test.
Police said he was arrested when he refused to comply.
The man was charged with refusing / failing to comply with a demand and he was later released with a future court date.
As a result of the charge, the man's vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days and his license was suspended for 90 days.

Police nab impaired driver on St. Clair Street
A 20-year-old Chatham Township man is facing two impaired driving charges after an early morning traffic stop in Chatham.
Police said an officer stopped the man's vehicle on St. Clair Street just before 2 a.m. Friday and believed the driver was under the influence of an intoxicating substance, so he was arrested and taken to police headquarters for tests.
The man was later charged with impaired driving and having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit before he was released with conditions and a future court date.
