CK police keeping an eye on new Fun Guyz location
A magic mushroom shop that popped up in Chatham-Kent earlier this year has moved out of downtown Chatham, but police say they're still keeping a close eye on the operation.
CK police raided the Fun Guyz location on King Street West three times since May, confiscating thousands of dollars worth of illegal products during each search and seizure.
Since then, the shop has relocated to a new building on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Police issued a notice to the public Wednesday morning noting that they are aware of the new Fun Guyz location and that they "enforce the appropriate regulations regarding the operation of illegal businesses that involve illicit substances," adding that their priority is public safety and community well-being.
Officers also noted -- again -- that the possession, sale, and production of magic mushrooms, psilocybin, and psilocin are illegal in Canada.
