Man arrested for aggravated assault
A 21-year-old Chatham man has been charged with aggravated assault after hitting another man over the head with a bottle.
According to police, a verbal argument took place on Grand Avenue East in Chatham and turned violent when the suspect struck the other male in the head with a bottle.
The 22-year-old victim received treatment at a local hospital.

Staff assaulted at workplace
A staff member of a business on Grand Avenue West in Chatham was assaulted.
Police said the staff member asked a man to leave their store. The 37-year-old Chatham man took offence and assaulted the staff member.
The man was found walking away from the store and arrested. He has been charged with assault and released with a later court date.

Break and enter while homeowner was home
At around 7:55 a.m. Friday a man entered a residential address on Orchard Heights in Chatham.
According to police the owner of the home was notified of the entry by security cameras.
The suspect was approached and left the home immediately.

A man has been charged with two counts of criminal harassment after bothering an ex by continually calling them and showing up at their place of work.
A man was charged with two counts of criminal harassment and was released with court date and to stay way from his ex.

Two traffic stops lead to impaired driving charges
A Bothwell man has been charged with impaired driving.
According to police, they were called to a traffic complaint on Kirk Street in Chatham, where one man was said to be causing a disturbance.
In a release police said they obtained the license plate and tracked down the 39-year-old man in Thamesville area where he was found to be three times over the legal limit.
On Park Avenue in Chatham, police stopped a vehicle operating erratically.
The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest. A 21-year-old Dresden man was twice over the legal limit and was released with a future court date.
