Run for the Kids raises $117K

The second annual Run for the Kids charity event took place on Sunday and far exceeded expectations.

The event, in support of the Children's Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent (CTC Foundation), saw participants raise $117,000.

"The tremendous success of this year's Run for the Kids is a testament to the unwavering support from our participants, sponsors, volunteers, and staff," said President and CEO of the CTC Foundation Mike Genge. "The dedication and hard work of everyone involved created a memorable and impactful event for our CTC kids and families."

Despite the rainy conditions, participants were all smiles as they either did a 200-metre kids run or a five-kilometre inclusive walk, run, or move event.

The CTC Foundation funds several services not covered by government funding including social work, therapeutic recreation services, and music therapy.
