UPDATE: McKay's Line reopened following single-vehicle crash

A crash in the Ridgetown area Friday morning led to an emergency road closure.

Chatham-Kent police confirmed with CK News Today shortly after 7:30 a.m. Friday, that they had closed down a section of McKay's Line between Howard Road and Scane Road as they investigate a collision.

Police issued an update at 8:30 a.m. to say the road was expected to be closed for another two to three hours.

CK police confirmed that the extensive closure was due to a cement truck rolling over and causing damage to the roadway.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., McKay's Line was reopened after the truck was towed and the road was repaired.

No injuries were reported.

The driver has been issued a Provincial Offences Notice.
