Man arrested for assaulting a police officer
Saturday evening, police were called to an address on Talbot Trail in Blenheim regarding a family dispute.
According to police, when they arrived, an intoxicated male was present, and he was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to police headquarters.
Police said when they arrived at headquarters, the suspect became combative and assaulted an officer during the booking process.
A 22-year-old has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place and assault. He was held in custody until sober and released with a future court date.
Man arrested for impaired driving
A 22-year-old man has been charged with "operation while impaired".
According to police, Saturday evening they were called to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Duart Road in Orford Township. The driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries and subsequently arrested.
Police said he was released with a future court date.
