Murals that graced the skyline in Windsor and Detroit as the Gordie Howe International Bridge towers were being erected have found a new home.
The colourful murals were on the jump forms as construction workers erected the towers to their full height of 220 meters.
Two of the murals have been given to the Canadian Transportation Museum and Heritage Village in Essex County. The third was given to the City of Windsor in partnership with Museum Windsor and Art Windsor-Essex.
The murals will be repaired before being displayed.
They were painted by Paul White, Teresa Altiman and Daisy White from Walpole Island First Nation and Naomi Peters from Caldwell First Nation.
