Three Women Arrested for Failing to Attend Court
A trio of women have been arrested for missing court.
Chatham-Kent police said a 37-year-old woman from Chatham-Kent was arrested Wednesday evening after she was caught dumpster diving in the parking lot of police headquarters with a man.
She was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant for failing to attend court in relation to a February 5, 2024 break-and-enter investigation in Tilbury.
She is facing a charge of possession of stolen property.
Another woman wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court has turned herself in to the police.
Police noted she was wanted in relation to a March 10, 2024 fire and attempted murder investigation in Chatham.
The 47-year-old Chatham woman is facing charges of failing to attend court and break-and-enter.
A 47-year-old Wallaceburg woman was also arrested for failing to attend court.
Chatham-Kent police said the woman was taken into custody on Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg Wednesday evening because she was wanted on an outstanding warrant in relation to several investigations.
She is currently facing several charges, including careless storage of a firearm, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm and ammunition, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and two counts of failing to attend court.

Man Arrested for Bail Violations
Chatham-Kent police had to go to the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre in London to arrest a man wanted in Chatham-Kent on a bench warrant for missing court.
Police said the 36-year-old Port Stanley man was brought back to CK police headquarters and is facing several charges, including public mischief, failing to comply with an order, failing to comply with his bail conditions, two counts of failing to comply with a probation order, five counts of criminal harassment, and seven counts of failing to comply with a release order.

Man Arrested for Threats
Threatening your neighbour never ends well, just ask a Tilbury man who was arrested and charged for doing just that.
Chatham-Kent police alleged the 55-year-old Tilbury man threatened to harm his neighbour on Wednesday afternoon at an address on Oak Street in Tilbury and began an investigation.
A similar incident occurred on May 18, 2024, according to police.
Police also noted suspected methamphetamine and various rounds of ammunition were seized.
The suspect has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, unauthorized possession of ammunition, and two counts of uttering threats.

Youth Arrested for Assault
A 15-year-old Chatham boy wanted on an outstanding warrant has been arrested and charged.
Chatham-Kent police said the teen was wanted in relation to a May 25, 2024 weapons investigation on King Street in Chatham. Police alleged the 15-year-old assaulted another teen with a pellet gun in the downtown mall parking lot during Retrofest.
The youth was found on Cecile Avenue in Chatham on Wednesday morning and was arrested, according to police.
He has been charged with uttering threats, using a firearm while committing an offence, two counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of assault with a weapon.

A 3-day license suspension has been issued to 29-year-old Harwich Township man after he was believed to be under the influence of alcohol.
The suspect was arrested Wednesday night when officers responded to an impaired driving complaint in Blenheim.
Police said a traffic stop was conducted on Towanda Boulevard and he was arrested and taken back to police headquarters for breath tests.
