Two men arrested for theft sent to police in York Region, London
Two men who were arrested in Chatham over the long weekend were turned over to a pair of other police services after CK police found out they were wanted out of town.
Chatham-Kent police said the two men were both released by the court with conditions and a future court date after their bail hearing.
The 23-year-old Chatham man was wanted by York Regional Police, so he was handed over to them after he was released from the local court.
The 26-year-old Chatham man was wanted by London Regional Police, so he was sent to London after he was released.

Wanted man found behind Chatham shopping area
Chatham-Kent police have caught up with another 44-year-old man who was wanted by police just up the Highway 401.
Police said they found the Chatham-Kent man behind a shopping area on St. Clair Street in Chatham shortly after 3 p.m. and confirmed he was wanted in London.
The accused was arrested and taken to police headquarters in Chatham before he was turned over to London police.

Woman accused of failing to attend court also hit with theft charge
A 49-year-old woman who was already in trouble with the law is facing more charges now after CK police connected her to a theft investigation in Chatham.
Police said they arrested the woman after they were called to Murray Street in Chatham for a theft investigation shortly after 11:30 p.m. Monday.
Officers arrested the woman after they found her and took her to police headquarters where she was set to be held pending a bail hearing.
She is currently charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking and one count each of theft, possession of stolen property, failing to attend court, obstructing police, impaired driving, assault, and driving while suspended.

Belle River man booked for impaired driving in Chatham
A 59-year-old Belle River man who was looking for directions in Chatham early Tuesday morning ended up getting a ride to police headquarters in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said the man allegedly stopped an officer at the intersection of Wellington Street and Fifth Street in Chatham at 2:14 a.m. Tuesday because he was lost and looking for directions to Windsor.
The officer who spoke with the man believed he was under the influence of alcohol, so he was given a roadside sobriety test and then taken to police headquarters for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, the man was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit and was later released with conditions and a future court date.
