Wallaceburg man wanted in Windsor turns himself in

A 24-year-old Wallaceburg man who was wanted by Windsor police on a sexual interference charge has turned himself in.

Chatham-Kent police said the man turned himself in at CK police headquarters just after 5:45 p.m. Thursday.

Police confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant held by the Windsor Police Service.

He was arrested and turned over to police in Windsor.

Chatham woman arrested for violating no-contact order

A 54-year-old Chatham woman is in trouble with the law again after she allegedly violated her release conditions by contacting a man she was supposed to stay away from.

Chatham-Kent police said the woman had previously been ordered to stop communicating with a specific man and had been banned from showing up at his residence in Chatham, but officers found the woman at his home when they were called there for a disturbance just after 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Police said they confirmed the conditions were still active and also confirmed that the woman was wanted for failing to attend court.

She was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.

Wanted man arrested in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police have caught up with a local 26-year-old man who was wanted in connection with some break-and-enter investigations.

Police said they tracked him down on Wellington Street West in Chatham just after 10:30 a.m. Thursday and took him back to police headquarters where he was set to be held pending a bail hearing.

The Chatham-Kent man is currently charged with two counts of mischief and one count each of theft and possession of stolen property.

Toronto man wanted in CK shows up at Chatham courthouse

A 32-year-old Toronto man who was wanted for skipping a previously scheduled court date has a new appointment to circle on his calendar.

Police said the man was arrested at the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham when he showed up there shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday.

Officers said he was later released with a future court date.

He is currently charged with several offences including two counts of mischief and one count each of dangerous driving, impaired driving, failing to comply with a breath demand, and taking a motor vehicle without consent.

Woman arrested for breaching probation

A 27-year-old Chatham-Kent woman is spending some more time in police custody after officers got a tip saying that she was violating her probation.

CK police said they received they were told at 12:45 p.m. Thursday that the woman was at an address she had been banned from attending.

Officers found her just over four hours later on Talbot Street West in Blenheim and arrested her.

She was taken to police headquarters where she was set to be held pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested for public intoxication

A 41-year-old Chatham man spent some time sobering up in police custody Thursday evening.

Police said they arrested the man after responding to Princess Street in Chatham at around 7:45 p.m. Thursday for a disturbance call.

Officers found the man and learned that he had been confrontational with area residents while he was intoxicated.

He was set to be held in custody until he sobered up.
