Chatham-Kent Seasonal Care Clinic to close Friday

It might be a sign of change that the weather is getting warmer.

The seasonal care clinic at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is closing its doors on Friday.

The clinic, which was in partnership with Chatham-Kent EMS, has been open for the last four months at the Chatham hospital. During that time, the clinic provided services to over 1,500 people.

"The clinic’s temporary operation out of a mobile trailer at CKHA’s Chatham Site Emergency Department was intended to provide care to the public if they did not have a Physician/Nurse Practitioner or could not be seen in a timely manner by their Physician/Nurse Practitioner during the seasonal surge of cold, flu and respiratory illness," read a CKHA release on Friday.

Residents looking for non-emergency clinical services in the community are advised to consider the following options:

• Visiting your Physician/Nurse Practitioner

• Visiting a walk-in clinic or virtual clinic

• Visiting a Pharmacist

• Dialing 8-1-1 to connect with a qualified health professional who can provide health

advice and information 24 hours a day / 7 days a week

• Accessing online urgent care, available for residents in Southwestern Ontario at

www.urgentcareontario.ca
