A 28-year-old Blenheim man is facing a handful of charges after Chatham-Kent police searched a store in the Blenheim area and found some illicit cannabis and some other drugs.
CK police said their investigation into the store called "Blenheim Carts" started in early January and led them to execute a search warrant there on Wednesday.
Officers who searched the store allegedly seized the following:
- 1.5 kilograms of illicit cannabis
- 500 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms)
- 51 hits of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD)
- other cannabis products such as oils, resins, hash
- packaging materials, packaging products, and digital scales
- a cell phone and some Canadian currency
The man they arrested in connection with the case was charged with illegally selling cannabis, possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling, and two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking (psilocybin and LSD).
Chatham-Kent police are also encouraging members of the public to report illegal cannabis stores to the local police department or anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
