Impaired Driving Charge
Several charges have been laid against a Glencoe man following a crash just outside of Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said they received a report of a two vehicle collision on Longwoods Road near Caledonia Road Wednesday night, but one of the drivers took off before officers arrived.
The driver was found a short distance away on Darrell Road and officers believed he was intoxicated by alcohol, police said.
Police noted he refused to provide breath samples to a qualified technician as demanded at police headquarters.
The 56-year-old Glencoe man was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample, operation of a vehicle while impaired, failing to stop at an accident, as well as several other Liquor Licence and Control Act offences.

Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
Suspicious activity has landed a Tilbury man back in police custody.
Chatham-Kent police said a concerned resident of Canal Street East in Tilbury contacted police to report two suspicious men in her neighbourhood Wednesday night.
She reported the men were approaching pedestrians and vehicles in the area attempting to purchase "illicit substances."
The men were later located at an address on Young Street in Tilbury, where one man was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant with Windsor police.
The 28-year-old Tilbury man was arrested and was transferred to Windsor police.

Man Arrested for Breaching Probation
A 47-year-old Chatham man has been arrested for failing to comply with his probation order.
Chatham-Kent police were called to a home on Wedgewood Avenue in response to a disturbance just after midnight Thursday morning and upon arrival learned that one of the people present was bound by a probation order with conditions preventing him from attending this address and from associating with the homeowner.
