Break and enters reported in Tilbury and Chatham
At about 7 a.m. on Saturday, Chatham-Kent police responded to a business on Queen Street in Tilbury.
According to police, unknown suspect(s) forced entry through the front door of the building, causing $2,000 in damage. It's reported that $8,000 in cash was also removed from the business.
The investigation is ongoing.

Police responded just before 9 a.m. on Saturday to a vacant home on Pine Street in Chatham.
Officers determined that an unknown suspect forced entry into the building and removed a large duffle bag and backpack full of property.
The owner of the property was unable to determine what was taken.

Police investigate reported gunshots
Chatham-Kent police received multiple calls from Ridgetown residents about gunshots heard early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the area of New Scotland Line at around 1:30 a.m. and weren't able to locate any suspects. They did find evidence that shots were fired, as they located several 12 gauge shells and .308 casings. Nothing else of concern was located in the adjacent field or nearby bush.
At this time, police believe that unknown suspect(s) were shooting at deer that were observed "yarding" a short distance from where the casings were located.
There is no danger to public safety.

Multiple arrests made on outstanding warrants
On Saturday evening, a 37-year-old Chatham man turned himself in to police for an outstanding warrant.
The man was wanted following a sexual assault investigation.
He was arrested and held pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent police arrested a Wallaceburg woman at around 11:35 a.m. on Saturday.
The 30-year-old was located in the area of Westcourt Boulevard in Wallaceburg. She was wanted for possession of property over $5,000.
The woman was given a court date and released.
