Eagle Brand corn recalled

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled Eagle Brand frozen corn sold in Ontario due to potential salmonella contamination.

The affected product size is 1.75 kilograms with UPC number 0 55722 96964 7. The best before date is 02/01/2025.

If you have any affected Eagle Brand corn, the CFIA said to throw it out or take it back to where you bought it and do not eat, serve, use, sell, or redistribute it.

Salmonella can be serious, in some cases deadly, for young children, pregnant people, the elderly, or those with weakened immune systems.

A healthy person could experience short-term symptoms like a fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramping, and diarrhea.

If you think you may be infected with salmonella, contact your healthcare provider.
