Tilbury man arrested for indecent act at the Tilbury Library
A 26-year-old Tilbury man who was supposed to be on his best behaviour is back in police custody after an incident at the public library in Tilbury.
Chatham-Kent police said the man was released from custody on November 29 last year with a probation order that required him to keep the peace and "be of good behaviour."
Officers said they arrested the man after getting a call on Monday for an indecent act at the Tilbury Library, which happened on Saturday.
Police said the man was arrested and charged with committing an indecent act in a public place and failing to comply with a probation order.
He was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.

Man and woman both wanted by police arrested during domestic disturbance call
A call about a domestic disturbance in Chatham led police to two people who were both wanted in connection with a local theft investigation.
Chatham-Kent police said they were called to the disturbance on Mary Street in Chatham just before 4 p.m. Tuesday and when they arrived, they learned that the man and the woman there were both wanted on outstanding warrants in connection with the same theft investigation, which started in December 2023.
Police said they arrested both of the accused and charged them with theft and possession of stolen property.
The 27-year-old Chatham man and the 33-year-old Chatham woman were both later released with a future court date.

Tilbury man arrested after break-in call
A 48-year-old Tilbury man has been arrested and charged after someone called in a break-and-enter in progress on Horton Line in Harwich Township.
Police said they got the call shortly after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and found a suspect when they arrived.
The accused was charged with break-and-enter and possession of break-and-enter instruments and was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Wallaceburg man arrested after taking stolen e-bike for a spin
A 35-year-old Wallaceburg man is in trouble with the law after he was allegedly caught driving around on a stolen e-bike.
Police said an officer on general patrol spotted the e-bike on Margaret Avenue shortly after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. It had been reported stolen on Monday from an address on McNaughton Avenue.
Investigators said the man who was driving the e-bike was stopped, arrested, and charged with possession of stolen property.
He was taken to police headquarters and was later released with a future court date.
