Chatham Goodfellows raise record amount during holiday campaign

The Chatham Goodfellows have officially wrapped up their 69th 'No Child Without a Christmas' campaign and have deemed it a success.

At the beginning of the year, the Board of Directors believed it would be a difficult year as the cost of living and demands for assistance had risen across the country.

By the end of the campaign, over 1,600 food hampers were delivered and 1,300 children had something underneath their Christmas tree.

In total, last year's 'No Child Without a Christmas' raised over $228,065.

Tim Haskell from the Goodfellows said he thinks this is the most they've ever collected during the campaign. He added that all of their donors were extremely generous and that Enbridge alone donated a record $45,000.

On top of donations and sponsorships, the porchlight campaign raised $57,680 and the street sales campaign raised over $30,747.

All the money raised is used to buy toys and food for those in need.

The Goodfellows are grateful to the entire community for making the good work they do possible.
