SheLeads mini sessions set to launch in 2024

A group of women in Chatham-Kent are gearing up for a series of mini-sessions that promise to be both enlightening and empowering.

SheLeads, a volunteer organization dedicated to all women in Chatham-Kent, is set to launch a new innovative series designed to inspire, educate, and empower women-identifying folks.

According to event co-founder Dr. Erin TeWinkel, the mini-sessions are a direct result of the first annual full-day SheLeads event that took place in July 2023 at the Capitol Theatre in Chatham.

"The positive response and enthusiasm from the community have fueled the expansion into monthly mini sessions," said TeWinkel in a release.

The mini-sessions will feature focused topics, local experts and speakers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities for attendees.

Chatham-Kent Councillor Alysson Storey will kick off the 2024 Mini Session Series on Thursday, January 11.

"We are elated to be launching our 2024 SheLeads mini-session series with our friend and role model, Councillor Storey," said co-founder Randi Bokor Caron. "Alysson is an advocate for all women in Chatham-Kent. We know her session will be enlightening. We can't wait to pick her brain about being a woman in municipal politics."
