Traffic stop leads to multiple charges
A 57-year-old man is facing repercussions after driving without a valid driver's licence and while under the influence.
Chatham-Kent police pulled over a driver at about 9:20 p.m. on Friday after observing that the vehicle had unauthorized plates.
Officers said that the man was driving with a suspended licence and that he also displayed signs of being under the influence of drugs.
A Chatham man was charged with driving while suspended, using unauthorized plates, impaired driving, and possession of a controlled substance.
The man was released with a future court date.

Chatham man charged with public intoxication
CK police arrested a man following a call about a public disturbance.
Police responded to a King Street address in Chatham just after 10:30 p.m. on Friday, where they were told two men were causing a disturbance.
When officers arrived they found a 20-year-old Chatham man who appeared to be inebriated. "He was highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself," police said in a release.
The man was held in custody until he sobered up.
