Entegrus donates $10K to bring Ontario Special Olympics to CK

Entegrus and its shareholder, Corix Infrastructure, have contributed $10,000 toward the 2024 Ontario Special Olympics.

"We're looking forward to participating in this celebration of diversity," said Jim Hogan the President and CEO of Entegrus.

"Corix and Entegrus understand our roles in the energy sector of powering progress when it comes to inclusivity, and the need for financial support for community focused initiatives that celebrate diverse talents, such as the Ontario Special Olympics," he added.

Event organizer Jason Herder expressed his appreciation for the donation.

"We thank Corix and Entegrus for not just investing in the Special Olympics, but also investing in the joy and empowerment of our athletes," he said.

A number of fundraisers will be held in Chatham-Kent in support of the event, including the Polar Plunge on Saturday, January 20. The last CK Polar Plunge raised $88,500.

As of December 12, just under $10,000 had been raised locally in support of programs and events for the 23,000 athletes hoping to compete in the Ontario Special Olympics.

The event will take place from June 10-12 in Chatham and Ridgetown.
