Man accused of luring, sexual exploitation arrested for skipping court
An 18-year-old Chatham man who is facing luring and sex assault charges is back in police custody after he was arrested at the courthouse in Chatham.
CK police said he was wanted for failing to appear in court for a scheduled appearance on September 25 and that they arrested him shortly after 3 p.m. Monday.
Officers said he is currently charged with luring a person under the age of 18, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, assault causing bodily harm, and failing to attend court.
He was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.

Man facing drug and weapons charges arrested again
Chatham-Kent police have caught up with a wanted man accused of drug and weapons offences.
Police said a warrant was issued for his arrest after he skipped his court date in September.
Officers found him after they were called to Colborne Street in Chatham just before 7:30 a.m. Monday.
The accused was arrested and later released with a future court date.

Wanted man gets a lift from police back to Chatham-Kent
Chatham-Kent police are making sure a 38-year-old Walpole Island man won't miss his next court date.
Police said they took him into custody at the Sarnia Jail just before noon on Monday and escorted him back to police headquarters in Chatham because he was wanted for failing to attend court.
Officers said the man is currently facing a handful of charges including two counts of failing to comply with an appearance notice along with one count each of mischief, assault with a weapon, robbery, and failing to attend court.
He was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent man arrested after threatening bank employee
A 31-year-old Chatham-Kent man is charged with uttering threats after a request for a new bank card in Chatham quickly escalated into an aggressive confrontation.
Police said the man had approached a customer service representative at the Bank of Montreal on St. Clair Street in Chatham and requested a new bank card.
When the employee asked the man for identification, though, the man got upset and allegedly talked about harming the representative and damaging the bank.
Police arrested the man, who was still at the bank when officers arrived, and he was charged and taken into custody. He was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.

Man accused of snoozing in someone else's bed
A 28-year-old Chatham-Kent man has been arrested and charged after he showed up uninvited to a relative's home and fell asleep in her bed.
Police said they were called to a home on King Street East in Chatham for that family dispute just before 4 p.m. Monday.
Officers said when the victim came home, she found the home was in "disarray" and one of her relatives was sleeping in her bed.
Police said she told the man to leave and eventually he did.
Officers said they found him walking on King Street East and charged him with being unlawfully in a dwelling.
He was later released with conditions and a future court date.
