17-year-old remembered as fun, loving, athlete

Jaimie Bonnell, who died in a single-vehicle crash on Thursday, is being remembered fondly by friends, family, and co-workers alike.

"She had a kind and caring personality who was willing to drop whatever she was doing to help someone who was in need," her obituary read.

Jaimie was born to Chris (Nealey) and Dave Bonnell in November 2006. She was the youngest of four children and an aunt of three.

The 17-year-old was a Blenheim District High School student, with plans of becoming a child and youth worker, and worked at Tim Hortons.

She was described as an athlete, who enjoyed many different sports.

Visitations will be held at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home on Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. and on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. A funeral service, conducted by Pastor Bill Terris, will take place on Monday following the visitation. Cremation will follow.

Those who would like to remember Jaimie with a donation are asked to give to the Blenheim Youth Centre.
