Wanted man arrested during threats investigation
Chatham-Kent police didn't have to go very far to find a 38-year-old man who was wanted for failing to attend court.
Police said they found the man at the Tim Horton's on Third Street in Chatham -- right across from CK police headquarters -- just before 9 a.m. Thursday while officers were following up on a threat investigation.
Police said the man was arrested and taken to police headquarters where he was set to be held pending a bail hearing.
He is charged with two counts of failing to attend court and one count of failing to comply with a probation order.

Chatham woman arrested after her surety drops support
A 29-year-old Chatham woman is back in police custody after the person who was acting as her surety decided to drop out of that role.
CK police said the surety revoked their agreement on November 29, five days after the woman was released from custody, so police issued a warrant for the woman's arrest.
Officers said the woman was arrested at Chatham-Kent police headquarters at around 3:15 p.m. Thursday when she showed up there for an unrelated matter.
The accused was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police find wanted man during break-in call
A call about a possible break-and-enter in Chatham led police to a wanted man.
CK police said they found the 31-year-old man, who was wanted on several outstanding warrants, while they were following up on a call to Landings Passage just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
Officers said when they arrested the man, they also found some suspected cocaine on him.
The accused is currently charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement, failing to comply with his release conditions, sexual assault, mischief, and drug possession along with two counts of failing to attend court.
He was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Wanted man found walking on Third Street Bridge
A 41-year-old Chatham-Kent man who was wanted for violating his probation order was arrested after he turned up a short distance away from police headquarters in Chatham.
Officers said they found him walking on the Third Street Bridge in Chatham at around 12:44 a.m. Friday and confirmed that he was wanted on a warrant.
He was charged and taken into custody before he was released with a future court date.
