Dresden man arrested twice on the same day

A 21-year-old Dresden man is facing charges after he was arrested, released, and then arrested again on Monday.

CK police said the first time they arrested the man was after a disturbance at the Godfathers Pizza on St. George Street South in Dresden.

Police said they were called there just before 1 p.m. Monday and learned that the man had gone into the restaurant and started throwing items around.

Officers said when the staff asked the man to clean up the mess he had made, he allegedly threatened the staff member.

Police arrested the man, took him to police headquarters, and charged him with mischief and uttering threats before he was released with conditions and a future court date.

Officers said they arrested the same man later that same day after they were called to a disturbance between the man and his landlord on Queen Street East in Dresden.

Police said they got that call just after 5 p.m. Monday, adding that officers learned the man had been arguing with his landlord when he allegedly pulled out a small silver knife.

The man was arrested for the second time on the same day, taken to police headquarters, and charged with a pair of weapons-related offences.

After the second time he was arrested, he was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.
