Holiday 50/50 fundraiser underway

The latest fundraiser for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF) might look a little familiar.

The Igniting Healthcare Holiday 50/50 Fundraiser just launched on Thursday, November 23.

"We've done our Ignite 50/50 in the summertime, we've always had such huge success," said Christine Colautti, President and CEO of CKHAF. "Since 2019 we have raised over $1.4 million, with $700,000 of that going back to the community, which is great."

Colautti said tickets make a great stocking stuffer, and it's a great way to give back to the community around the holiday season.

'It started November 23, and it runs for four weeks," she said. "We're going to be drawing the winner on December 21, and in between then we have three early bird prizes scattered throughout. The first one being November 30, and that's for a $500 cash prize. The second being December 7 for a cooler, and December 14 is our third early bird with a two-night stay in Montreal with $1,000 cash."

You can purchase 10 numbers for $10, 60 numbers for $20, 200 numbers for $50, or 350 numbers for $75. All of the money raised goes to buy new equipment and pay for upgrades at the hospitals.

"At both the Wallaceburg and Chatham sites," said Colautti. "As we know with healthcare, it's always evolving, and those funds really give us the flexibility to make sure that our programs are the best they can be to service our patients in our community."

Tickets can be purchased online through www.ignite5050.ca, or in person at the Foundation's office at 9 Ursuline Avenue in Chatham during their regular business hours.
